X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) is a powerful experimental tool
used to characterize the chemical composition of surfaces.
The primary XPS instrument at the LSM facility is a Thermo K-Alpha,
which located in room 112 of the Nanophysics Lab. The K-Alpha is
highly-automated with extremely user-friendly data acquisition and
analysis software. XPS training is provided on an as-needed basis
and is tailored to the needs of each user.
